My education background is as a primary school teacher, which has given me many skills to use throughout my sessions as a photographer! It's always been my passion to work with kids
When I’m in my happy place, it’s with a pair of joggers on, goggles around my neck, and swimming cap tucked into my swimmers. Nothing beats a 3km run to the pool, a 2km swim, and then a 3km run home! It’s been a few long years since I’ve been able to do any of these things (mum life right!?) but I’m working my way back into it and I’m sure in no time I’ll be fit and fast once again!
We walked around the lake flirting after dinner and chatting….. and I was waiting for that foot popping kiss but it just didn’t happen. Romantic setting + first date usually = a kiss! Or so I thought. Figured he must have really not liked me! But it turns out he actually was into me, and didn’t want to stuff things up. Good thing I said yes to the second date! So here we are, 3 kids later and a whole lot more in love!
I often tagged along to work with her. We were that annoying family who always pulled out a camera at get togethers and captured the moments. This was back in the day when it was on film. And let’s not forget I lived in a small country town so we had to send the film away to Kodak and wait a good 3-4 weeks for it to be returned in prints! My how the times have changed.
I live on the Central Coast just North of Sydney, Australia.
Yes! I hold all my newborn sessions and also offer maternity and sitter sessions in my studio. It’s actually the garage of my home that I have created a cosy little space in. I love it and have tried to make it comfortable and easy to use. I sanitise and launder everything that gets used during a session in order to maintain hygiene and have everything needed in terms of props, wraps and outfits. It has a natural, boho feel to the space, and I use natural lighting only.
Yes! I offer maternity and family sessions in certain areas of Sydney (Rouse Hill, The Hawkesbury or the Northern Beaches). I also travel to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. These locations do however have a small travel fee. If there's a special request (especially for weddings) on a certain location that's quite far away, I'm definitely able to travel! Just contact me and let me know what you're looking for.
Oh this excites me! I have carefully selected the outfits I have purchased and offer them all in a range of sizes. I have some that are high-end, handmade gowns and I also have some that are from sweet little boutique stores. All are chosen with different shapes and sizes in mind and work to flatter all body types.
My client closet is available for everyone to use for their sessions. You’re welcome to book in a time to pop over and browse my collection and try as many on as you’d like. Your session includes unlimited styling advice so don’t stress! Once you’ve selected which outfits you’d like to use, I bring them along to your session and take them back with me afterwards and have them all cleaned ready for the next client.
This is called ‘golden hour’ and it’s simply because the light is so soft and golden right before the sun sets. It casts beautiful creamy tones rather than harsh white light, and is much more suited to portrait photography and making you look your best!
No. Offering my unedited images is giving you only half of my product. I have a high standard that each image must meet, and if it does not meet that criteria, it is removed. If there’s more images I love and know you will like, I will include them. I do not however send you a gallery to choose which ones you’d like, I just include them all for you.
If either you, your partner or your children are unwell and you cannot attend your session, we will reschedule to another week once everyone is healthy and well. Especially since Covid, it is very important to stay home if you are feeling unwell, and to let me know.
Your contract will state this, but the turnaround timeframe is 3-4 weeks. You'll receive an email with a link to view and download your entire gallery.
I have recently made this decision, and it is purely based on maintaining consistency in my work. I want to ensure you are guaranteed to receive what you see in my posts and advertising. Choosing to no longer offer in home sessions has allowed me to have complete control over lighting and the space in which I use.
This varies for each session. Sunset sessions go for around an hour, sometimes a little longer once we’ve met and walked to the desired location etc. Studio sessions are booked for 1.5-2 hours and are scheduled from 11.30am-3pm on weekends as this is optimal lighting.
Not a problem at all! There’s no such thing in my books. My style is a mix of lifestyle and posed. So you’ll hear me giving you explicit instructions but other times I’ll give you a prompt or something to do that will give us those candid, cute moments that just happen.
I’ll always touch base with you if the weather forecast isn’t favourable. Sometimes it clears later in the day, but in the case of having to postpone, we will just reschedule to another date that suits.
Yes! Most definitely. You’ve invested in beautiful family photos, so make the most of it and pamper yourself. You’re not going to look back at your images and wish you didn’t have your hair and makeup done. Here are some businesses on the coast I highly recommend!
