I’ve been running this business of mine since 2016. I started it just after I had a second baby to try and keep my brain from turning to moosh. Since then we had a third baby and after he was born, I stepped it up a notch and have turned it from a hobby into a full time job!

I want to be the kind of friend who you can’t live without and can trust in all things. I am a friend that will always sit and drink wine with you. Always!

to my friends

I'm Jessie

My education background is as a primary school teacher, which has given me many skills to use throughout my sessions as a photographer! It's always been my passion to work with kids

I am wife to Brad. At the risk of sounding cheesy, he’s everything I ever wanted in a husband. Trustworthy and my biggest fan. He loves me despite my faults, and encourages me to be a better wife, mother, person and friend. He’s the rock in our family and I certainly wouldn’t be here without him.

First and foremost, I am a daughter of the King. I serve a faithful God who created my innermost being and loves me unconditionally.

I didn’t plan on being an entrepreneur or photographer!

In fact I’m actually a primary school teacher and decided to become this at the ripe old age of 9. I only ever had teaching on my radar and zero plans to ever change that. It wasn’t until I had my own babies that I realised I couldn’t do both. I wanted to be present as much as I could in my family life, and teaching wouldn’t allow that. So I put my brain into gear and thought I’d try family photography, and here I am today!

I DIDN’T PLAN ON BEING AN ENTREPRENEUR OR PHOTOGRAPHER...

who am i?

My mum was a photographer, and she inspired me from a very young age by bringing me along to her shoots.

When I am not holding a camera or a child, I am running or swimming. I find both to be soothing for my soul.

This photography business was born in 2016. As a new mom to my second child, I was searching for something to keep me inspired and allow me a space outside of being a mom.

Photography became my passion, one that quickly turned from a side hobby to a successful business.

Families, Newborns, and Weddings are my specialty and I absolutely love serving all the lovely central coast families

The title I waited my whole life for and now am, Mother. More commonly referred to as “Muuuuuuuum, Mah, Mummy or More” (please tell me I’m not alone in being unable to fill the endless pit that is the stomachs of my children!)

This is us. My husband Brad, and our three babes. Eddie, Ruthie and Albert. They sure do keep us on our toes, but fill our hearts with joy and pride every day.

Eddie is train obsessed and has proven his ability to overcome challenges even at a young age. We were told he would most likely never speak more than a word or two but here we are, with a 6 year old who doesn't stop. God is good, and we declared His healing hand over Eddie time and time again, so I have no doubt in my mind that he is our own little miracle.

Ruthie is our firecracker and makes us laugh more than anything. She was born on her due date, in the sac, on the middle console of our car on the freeway in peak hour traffic. Safe to say, she came out in a hurry and hasn't changed since! She runs on her own schedule and nothing stops her.

And then there's Albert. He came out the size of a toddler and has just slotted in with family life. He copies everything the big kids do, and is certainly quick to do so!  He's my stage 5 clinger, refuses to let anyone do anything for him except me, but part of me is a little bit ok with that. He's our last baby and despite him constantly telling me "I big boy mummy", he'll always be my baby.

When I’m in my happy place, it’s with a pair of joggers on, goggles around my neck, and swimming cap tucked into my swimmers. Nothing beats a 3km run to the pool, a 2km swim, and then a 3km run home! It’s been a few long years since I’ve been able to do any of these things (mum life right!?) but I’m working my way back into it and I’m sure in no time I’ll be fit and fast once again!

I’m a runner and a swimmer...

We walked around the lake flirting after dinner and chatting….. and I was waiting for that foot popping kiss but it just didn’t happen. Romantic setting + first date usually = a kiss! Or so I thought. Figured he must have really not liked me! But it turns out he actually was into me, and didn’t want to stuff things up. Good thing I said yes to the second date! So here we are, 3 kids later and a whole lot more in love!

mY FIRST DATE WITH MY HUSBAND WAS ALMOST MY LAST...

I often tagged along to work with her.  We were that annoying family who always pulled out a camera at get togethers and captured the moments. This was back in the day when it was on film. And let’s not forget I lived in a small country town so we had to send the film away to Kodak and wait a good 3-4 weeks for it to be returned in prints! My how the times have changed.

my mama was a wedding and family photographer...

a few fun facts

about me

Where are you located?

Do you have a studio?

Do you travel?

Do you have a client closet, how does it work?

Why are your family sessions always at sunset?

Do we get any of the unedited images?

My kids are sick, what do we do?

We just had our session, when can we expect to receive our gallery?

Why do you only offer studio sessions for newborns?

How long do your sessions go for?

We are so awkward posing for photos. Does that matter?

WHAT IF THE WEATHER TURNS AND THE SESSION CAN’T GO AHEAD?

Should I get my hair and makeup done?

Yes! I hold all my newborn sessions and also offer maternity and sitter sessions in my studio. It’s actually the garage of my home that I have created a cosy little space in. I love it and have tried to make it comfortable and easy to use. I sanitise and launder everything that gets used during a session in order to maintain hygiene and have everything needed in terms of props, wraps and outfits. It has a natural, boho feel to the space, and I use natural lighting only.

Yes! I offer maternity and family sessions in certain areas of Sydney (Rouse Hill, The Hawkesbury or the Northern Beaches). I also travel to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. These locations do however have a small travel fee. If there's a special request (especially for weddings) on a certain location that's quite far away, I'm definitely able to travel! Just contact me and let me know what you're looking for.

Oh this excites me! I have carefully selected the outfits I have purchased and offer them all in a range of sizes. I have some that are high-end, handmade gowns and I also have some that are from sweet little boutique stores. All are chosen with different shapes and sizes in mind and work to flatter all body types.

My client closet is available for everyone to use for their sessions. You’re welcome to book in a time to pop over and browse my collection and try as many on as you’d like. Your session includes unlimited styling advice so don’t stress! Once you’ve selected which outfits you’d like to use, I bring them along to your session and take them back with me afterwards and have them all cleaned ready for the next client.

No. Offering my unedited images is giving you only half of my product. I have a high standard that each image must meet, and if it does not meet that criteria, it is removed. If there’s more images I love and know you will like, I will include them. I do not however send you a gallery to choose which ones you’d like, I just include them all for you.

Yes! Most definitely. You’ve invested in beautiful family photos, so make the most of it and pamper yourself. You’re not going to look back at your images and wish you didn’t have your hair and makeup done. Here are some businesses on the coast I highly recommend!
